| Badger3 System: Introduction |
| The Badger3 System is a Browser-Based platofrm for powerful and flexible patient data management solutions. Though its original design platform was for neonatal intensive care usage, the Badger System can be easily configured to create patient data management and patient monitoring solutions for many other clinical arenas. |
|
The system has a client-server architecture that utilises cutting-edge web technologies.
The user accesses all data through a standard Internet Explorer (version 6 or above) web browser program that is supplied free with Windows 2000/XP operating systems.
All the patient data views are created in real-time by the Badger Server System that runs on a normal Windows NT/2000 workstation anywhere on your hospital network or your local computer.

This provides an immensely powerful platform for distributed real-time patient monitoring and data management.
Real-time one-second physiological trend graphs can be viewed anywhere on the hospital Intranet, along with intelligent patient summary reports and automated unit reports for instant access by administrative and management staff away from the unit.
This architecture also makes it easy for consultants to dial-in from their standard home PCs to view a full real-time electronic medical record for each patient.
